Just Like Us has been named Charity of the Year at the 2025 Metro Pride Awards for its ‘profound’ impact.

The LGBT+ young people’s charity was awarded the Grassroots or Charity Organisation of the Year award for making “a profound impact on the LGBTQ+ community” and bringing “meaningful change for LGBTQ+ people”.

The Metro Pride Awards took place on Wednesday 26 February and were hosted by Rylan Clark. The ceremony saw guests such as John Bishop, who recently praised Just Like Us’ LGBT+ Guide for Parents, in attendance.

On the charity’s win, Laura Mackay, Chief Executive of Just Like Us, said: “I am incredibly proud of the entire team at Just Like Us for receiving this Metro Pride Award.

“This recognition is a reflection of the tireless work of our team and volunteers, supporting and empowering LGBT+ young people across the UK.

“It’s an honour to be part of an organisation that is creating meaningful change, and we remain committed to ensuring every young person feels seen, heard, and valued.”
