How you can get involved at your school
If you’re a school pupil, you can lead real positive change in your school for yourself, other LGBT+ young people and pupils who have LGBT+ family members.
Age 17, Ella came across Just Like Us and decided she wanted to do something at her school to celebrate the LGBT+ community. With the help of the charity and her teachers, she led Pride celebrations in her school. She has now left school and has become a Just Like Us ambassador.
You could help set up a Pride Group in your secondary school.
The first port of call is to talk to a trusted teacher about what you’d like your school to do.
Volunteer with us
If you’re LGBT+ and aged 18 to 25, you can volunteer as a Just Like Us ambassador. You’ll be joining the UK’s biggest community of LGBT+ young adults volunteering their time to change the world.
Volunteering with Just Like Us is a great way to develop your skills, gain confidence and meet other LGBT+ young people.
If you’re under 18, see our FAQs below on how to get involved.
