LGBT+ inclusive education benefits all pupils
Schools that talk positively about LGBT+ people have happier pupils – inclusive education is linked to lower rates of suicidal thoughts, even for non-LGBT+ pupils.
That’s why 4 in 5 UK secondary schools work with Just Like Us. 96% of teachers say that our Pride Groups programme has improved pupil wellbeing.
Everything we provide is free – from training and teaching resources to support to set up a Pride Group.
“Just Like Us has helped reduce homophobic bullying in our school. The charity has helped us to explain to pupils why anti-LGBT+ language is so damaging and we’ve seen a real difference in our school culture.”
Liz Soulby, PSHE lead at Charlton School
