Just Like Us

Published: March 6, 2026

Just Like Us has LGBT+ inclusive resources for celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 in secondary schools.

International Women’s Day (8 March) celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women.

The International Women’s Day 2026 resource pack includes posters and display materials, as well as a form time session on LGBT+ women trailblazers featuring video content from our Just Like Us ambassadors.

Pupils are encouraged to consider challenges LGBT+ women might face, and how to be allies to LGBT+ women.

Just Like Us creates resource packs for schools throughout the year, marking events like International Women’s Day, LGBT+ History Month and School Diversity Week.

Our resource library also features LGBT+ inclusive resources for all Key Stages and subjects in primary schools, secondary schools and colleges.

School staff members can sign up for free and explore all the resources we have to offer.

How to download free LGBT+ inclusive resources for International Women’s Day 2026

If you are a staff member at a UK primary school, secondary school or sixth form college, you can access Just Like Us’ free resources by following the below steps:

  1. Sign up for free here.
  2. You’ll then receive an email granting you access to the resources.
  3. Then, browse and download resources in our school resource library.

Just Like Us’ school resource library offers free, LGBT+ inclusive resources across the curriculum, for all key stages from EYFS to KS5.

Independent research has found a link between positive messaging about being LGBT+ in schools and pupils having better mental health, regardless of whether the pupils are LGBT+ or not.

LGBT-inclusive environments at home and at school are also linked to better outcomes for LGBT+ young people, from their mental health to their relationships to their optimism about the future, that last into adulthood.
